Akutsu Isamu is a mysterious old man who lives in an old apartment building. He often shouts to himself and behaves strangely, causing the middle school girl next door to become suspicious of him. However, as the story unfolds, the reasons behind his odd behavior and his past gradually become clear…!

The story also follows a series of characters who cross paths with Akutsu: a middle school girl carrying emotional scars, a middle-aged woman at the edge of despair, a woman haunted by trauma from her past workplace, and a young man who continues telling kind lies to someone dear to him. Each of these individuals, struggling with their own sense of unease in life, are mysteriously drawn together like puppets on invisible strings. Through their encounter with the theater group “Taurus Theatre,” their lives intertwine into a single story.
