It was a good experience for us to make the Johnny’s standard stage once again in Taiwan. JUMP members tend to have the same way of thinking, but this time in Taiwan, (Domoto) Koichi-kun entered the stage and gave some advice, and it was great we got a new perspective. For example, when the corners change, where we would always have a video to connect, Koichi-kun suggested we should divide the previous song into groups of four people and change clothes in order. Also, what I felt was very Johnny’s style, the flying was the strongest (laughs). As a production, I reconfirmed there was beauty and power in imagery.

The album “PARADE” was completed in the middle of our Taiwan performances. At first, when Yamada used the keyword “bewitching”, I thought it was genuinely interesting. However, if you become too much of a maniac about it, of course, fans and people with an interest in JUMP may leave. When I first saw the audience coming to Taiwan and enjoying it, I felt it wasn’t good to go too far. So it is important to arrange the album songs with strong personalities with the singles in a well-balanced manner. It’s a parade for old and new fans, so everyone can enjoy it!

Regarding the music, I guess we spent a lot of time finishing it. We started talking a long time ago and wondered if it would come together with time. As a result of our strong appetite and greed for “strong songs” and “good songs”, we spent a considerable amount of time. One song, one day, everyone was OK with that and it was just the right pace to decide.

In addition to the live performances, we were also happy that you could enjoy “Wolpuu” who was broadcast on SNS for the tours. At the start of the character design, from the detailed creation to the submission of contents, I was double checking. At the time of the album release, the discussion arose about a character that was “vengeful ghost-like”, so I drew up some drafts and sent them to Yamada. Based on the image of “bewitching”, I was told to give it a range from real to pop. He will say things like “This is wrong” or “This is a bit scary”, but won’t say what is specifically good so I had a hard time (laughs). By the way, Wolpuu’s uru is not from the wolf’s uru, but from “ULTRA MUSIC POWER”‘s uru. It was the member’s idea. It might appear like a wolf, but the image inside is a fictional tribe.

I think that the tour will be live show of the concept we have now, but among that we also plan to show the cute JUMP. As we get older, we want to do cute things (laughs). If we do something cool, we want to shake it off by doing something cute, that kind of feeling. In the heavy spring period, it was a bit embarrassing but now we can enjoy it naturally. And I want people to think “Once is not enough” and “I want to see it again”. It is important that it fills your stomach at once, but we want a live that gives you a feeling of wanting more, so please enjoy it!
