This year marks the 15th anniversary of Hey! Say! JUMP.
What is the reason for their radiance, which continues to shine with a soft light as they stand in the centre of the sparkle, unchanged even as they become adults?
Now that they are deepening their bond with each other, we asked the members to talk about "My rules for living" in the May issue of with "Moment and Eternity".
The words of JUMP, who are also of the with readers' generation, will surely give you something to push you forward tomorrow! Please check it out!
Yamada Ryosuke

As the group's centre, Yamada has continued to walk down the middle of idol road with pioneer it with conviction. He has also built up a career as an actor and is also active in the world of video games. Please enjoy this interview, which also gives a glimpse of his stoicism.
Work
Don't think too much about it, except to give it your all.
With work, you might be worried about the outcome, but the outcome happens after everything is done. So, first of all, I just have to make sure I'm fully prepared [and work towards the outcome] in a way that I'm satisfied with and don't regret it. No matter what people think of me, I'm proud to say that "I gave it my all". I'm now an actor, an idol, I do variety shows and I also do YouTube. To be honest, there are times when it's hard.
But I think it's up to you to find a way to enjoy the day, so enjoy it. There may be days when you're at your wits end with tasks, but you can do it, because even I can too. People can surprisingly do it!
Fashion
I want to be modest with clothes. So choose simplicity.
I like simple things, like I always have. So many things look alike! Isn't it good when no one has to notice me? That's why I'm allowed to go to photo shoots in jerseys, and I don't know if I should profess this in a fashion magazine, but I'm not really interested in it (laughs).
I basically like 'so-called women's fashion that men like.' I don't really like the fluffy/airy type of fashion (laughs). But I think I'm still a fan of the simple type. I think it's great if you can make the most of your strengths in a white shirt and jeans.
Beauty
It is impossible to maintain a pure mind. The ability not to care is important.
As you grow up, you are faced with facts that you don't want to know in your social life and in your relationships, so keeping your mind pure is just impossible, impossible (laughs). It's more important for you to develop the ability to draw a line within yourself, like "I don't get along with this person", or the ability to not care. I've made a lot of mistakes and had a lot of regrets, so I think that's one of the things I've naturally learnt.
By the way, speaking of beauty, I recently applied body cream for the first time. I had an itch around my hip bone and when I looked into it, I found out that the cause was dryness, so I was told to apply it. In fact, the itching really did stop and I was like, "Wow, body cream is amazing~" (laughs).
Life
Live as you want to live
I was thinking that live your life as you want would be a good answer. Then, if you ask me what I mean by 'as you want', I wouldn't know (laughs). It's just living the way I want to live. That seems like freedom, but I also think I'm surprisingly restricting myself.
For example, YouTube gives me a lot of freedom, but even so, it's still my work, so you could say I'm cutting back on my private life. If that's the case, it makes me wonder what freedom is. But it's still fun, and in the end, I like my job (laughs). Maybe it's those small daily pleasures? Like listening to soothing music while going to bed at night (laughs).
Love
Properly communicate the emotions you feel at the moment in words.
I think the members and my family can understand me even if I don't say anything, but I think there are a lot of people in the world who can't understand me unless I say something out loud. That's why it's important for me to properly express my feelings at that moment by saying them out loud. I myself am basically able to read the feelings of others even without there being any words. But when it comes to love, I'm the type of person who doesn't understand something unless I'm being told. It's hard for me to notice.... The moments I think are lovely are when all the members are laughing together doing something silly. It's the same when it comes to lovers, but if you love someone, you think everything they do is lovely.
Chinen Yuri

Chinen continues to display beautiful performances with his overwhelming dance skills and high-level physical ability. We take a close up of Chinen's personality, which has further increased his presence in the group, as he takes on the challenge of staging live performances and providing ideas for the production of songs.
Work
The most fun you can have is when you can't see what lies ahead.
I try things I think are interesting, and if I don't think they are interesting, I don't try them. In my work, I am rather conscious of this, as the criteria for 'interesting' are things that I can't imagine or where I can't see what lies ahead.
In the case of concerts, I won't know what direction I want to go in, but I like it best when I'm still searching for something like, "Isn't this a good idea?" So I think, for example, when I'm worried and thinking, "I've already seen what lies ahead if I continue along this line, I want to try something new", that gives me my answer.
Because I don't think people who are happy with the way things are going would be worried in the first place!
Love
I want to support each other more than ever 15 years after our debut.
I felt love strongly recently when I was absent due to my coronavirus infection. Inoo called me to give me advice because he had experienced it, and Yamada gave me encouraging words like, "I'll leave it to you". When Yaotome-san (Hikaru) took time off, I told him that "I will take your place when I can, so please rest well."
I hesitate to put it this way, but I think it's only natural that the people you love and treat with love will love you back just as much as you love them. It has been 15 years since we made our debut. I think a lot of things will happen from now on, so I want to support each other more than ever before.
Life
I'm addicted to getting my "inner self" in order.
Ever since I was a teenager, I feel like I've been very conscious of my "outer self" in my life, so recently I've been enjoying adding things I like to my house, being particular about my loungewear, and having fun getting my "inner self" in order.
The other day, I won a game on a certain TV programme, and I'm going to receive a 300,000 yen kitchen knife set as a prize. 300,000 yen knives are probably something I wouldn't buy if I lived a regular life. I'm really looking forward to receiving them, because I'll feel like I've risen in rank when I have them. Right now, I'm putting a lot of effort into things like that, things I "don't show to the outside world".
Fashion
When I see, "I want to look like this" I feel that "It doesn't suit"
I don't have an idea of how I want myself to be seen with fashion. I focus on ease of wear, but I choose what I like in terms of material from what is sold in shops, so I think I inevitably wear whatever is in fashion at the time (laughs).
I think I feel the same with women's fashion. If I can see through their fashion and think "they want to make themselves look like this", I feel that it doesn't suit them. Like I wonder if she is wearing oversized clothes to hide her body shape and things....... So I really think it is difficult to make fashion your own.
Beauty
"Beauty" in my mind is to have a "body that's mobile".
I don't really care about my appearance. I think I'm more interested in keeping my "body mobile". I feel that my feet soles get tired when I dance, or that my past ankle sprain is starting to affect my body little by little.
It's hard for me to go to the gym now, so I do squats with two 10kg dumbbells and run at home. I really want to do some harder workouts. When I'm able to train the way I want to, I feel like there's a kind of 'beauty' in me!
Nakajima Yuto

His NHK drama 'Shizuka-chan to Papa' was highly acclaimed by a wide range of audiences, and his drama Junai Dissonance (Thursdays 22:00, Fuji TV), in which he plays the lead role, will start in July. His NHK drama Shizuka-chan to Papa (Shizuka and Papa) was highly acclaimed by a wide range of audiences, and the drama Jun-Ai Dissonance (Thursdays at 22:00, Fuji TV), in which he stars, started in July. Check out Nakajima-san's 'My Rules', who is making steady progress as a talented actor!
Work
Concentrate on your world rather than on having fun.
With work, I place the utmost importance on concentrating rather than enjoying myself. That's why there are times where I deliberately create a world of my own and give off an aura of "I don't want people to talk to me".
In the past, I couldn't shut out people who would barge their way in, so I couldn't concentrate on my performance and caused trouble for others, so I realised how important it is to communicate that kind of intent.
Also, the best thing about this job is that I am always given challenges. Of course, challenges are scary because there is no guarantee of success, but I would probably get lazy if I didn't challenge myself... (laughs)
Love
Communicate in words. Because I don't want to have lack of communication.
I think there can be a lot of lack of communication, so I aim to put things into words. When one of the members seems to be having a hard time, I try to ask them, "What's wrong?"
I also feel more at ease talking to them when they ask me too. Especially Yabu-kun is very perceptive, he casually taps me on the shoulder and asks, "What's wrong?" I tend to observe people with too much detail in that respect. I put too much effort into "I have to ask them." I want to be someone who can express my love casually, both verbally and physically.
Life
Don't feel ashamed of your unknowing self!
I started in this world in primary school and made my debut in middle school, so I think I'm close to a veteran in terms of my level of experience. But there are still many things I don't know. That's why I feel that it's more important than anything else not to be ashamed of ''my unknowing self''.
On the one hand, I try to remember to ask and learn everything, but at the same time, I also don't want to be the adult who says, "You don't know that?" But sometimes I'm really surprised that people don't know something, even though it's famous! (laughs).
Fashion
Sharp is my motto. I also like Johnny Depp (laughs).
I like sharp fashion. Naturally, I tend to wear cashmere knitwear and trousers, but with sneakers.
Recently, I was asked to bring some old photos for work. And when I looked for them, I found that I used to wear jeans, a waistcoat and a hat! I thought to myself, I used to admire Johnny Depp back then. At the time I didn't have a sense of self, so I just imitated other people, but that changed when I started working as a model.
For women's fashion..... I like the old-school look. That's simply my preference. ♡
Beauty
In this way, I am a health fanatic. I'm interested in the principles of the body.
I recently increased the temperature of my bathtub to 42°C. I'm the type of person who can't sleep when I have the pressure of 'I have to go to bed', but when I set the temperature to 42°C, it's too hot and my body gets tired, so I can sleep easily. I'm a bit of a health fanatic, so I'm always collecting information on what's good for my body. I also drink tea that is good for my throat and take Chinese herbal medicine because I have a weak stomach.
Now I want to learn more about the principles of the body. I think this will help me do muscle training more efficiently and make my body less prone to fatigue. Well, before that, I guess I should go to the gym first (laughs).
Yabu Kota

Yabu Kota has been in the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", which people have said "I want to see many times" and "it makes me feel cheerful". Yabu's next musical, "Be More Chill", is scheduled for July and he is also known for his beautiful singing voice.
Please enjoy the words from Yabu-san, who is also known as an intelligent person.
Work
The work in front of you must be done carefully and to the best of your ability, and you must also envision the future beyond that.
Around the age of 30 is a time when you have worries about your career and life going forward. For me, it's important to look at work from some kind of time span. For example, a few years into the future, marriage, retirement. If you set a rough time frame and work backwards, I think it's easier to understand what you need to do now. It is important to carefully do the work that's in front of you, one by one, with all your might, while envisioning the results ahead.
It's also a good idea to be on the look out and write down ideas in your daily life and on your travels for your dreams one day. You want to always be ready for work.
Love
Lose the ego. Although I can't do it yet.
If we consider love without a reward to be real love, I am still in quite a dilemma as to whether I am really able to do that.
I want to be a kind person who doesn't ask for anything in return, but am I able to do that?I want to help and be there for my friends and people in need, but in the end I wonder if that's just about wanting to be seen as a special or kind person. Love is a thing where that kind of ego is really gone.
So I haven't pursued love yet. I sometimes say to my friends when I'm drunk, "You're a good guy" or "I really like you", but I can't really say that when I'm sober (laughs).
Life
I don't waste my time because it is not infinite
Now that I'm 32 years old, more than half of my life has been spent with Hey! Say! JUMP. The time I have to work in front of people is not infinite, so as I get older, I feel more strongly that I don't want to waste time. Every day I think about what I can do with the limited time I have.
Being in the entertainment industry means that my work is my life. I think that the more the audience ask for me, the more my life will become Hey! Say! JUMP. However, I don't know if I think of that in terms of 100 years of my life. In 5 or 10 years from now, my mindset may have changed again.
Fashion
Spend time and money on accessories that make a point.
When Johnny's get together, I think that the percentage of fedora hats has gone down (laughs). In the past, everyone used to wear pointy-toe boots, tucked our pants in and skulls. With a fedora hat, you can't lean back when you get in the car. Now I wear a bucket hat that I can lean on (laughs).
I don't spend a lot of money on clothes, but I'm the type who spends a lot of time and money on things that accentuate my outfit, such as shoes, bags and watches. And now I have a larger repertoire of clothes that match the time, place and occasion of events, like weddings and dinners with superiors!
Beauty
A beautiful person is a 'firm person' who pays attention to detail.
I feel that being beautiful means being able to pay attention to detail. And I have the image that people who take good care of their nails down to the tips are often very firm people. My fingers still have hangnails today, so I'm not close to that level (laughs).
However, since the beginning of this year, I have been stretching for an hour almost every day. It's surprisingly quick when I do it while watching a film or soccer. I can now bend forward and my hands touch the floor! My motivation is to get the results properly. If I'm gonna sit on the sofa and watch TV, I'll stretch while I do it. I've only just started, but I want to keep at it.
Takaki Yuya

Takaki Yuya is scheduled to appear as a young president of a taxi company in the new drama The Taxi Hanten, which starts on 1 June. Please enjoy this interview with Takaki-san, who is expanding his activities to include modelling and butai appearances.
Work
Have more fun than a hard time! Work in your own way
It is best to do a job that you want to do. If you continue to have a hard time, it's better to do a job that you will enjoy.
I think it's better to be honest about your feelings and not be tied down by obligations or circumstances, and it's best to act quickly and go down the path you want to take because it's a waste of time worrying about things like that. That's what it means to work in your own way.
I make plans on my days off that make me excited and use that as motivation to work hard. If all I can think about is work, I feel pressure, so I also value my private life.
Love
I want to say 'I enjoy being with you,' as I feel it.
I try to tell people around me in words what I think is nice. My friends say things like, 'You say that kind of thing a lot' (laughs), but for me it's natural. I'm not particularly conscious about expressing my love. I guess that's just how my parents brought me up. I just say what I feel at the time, like "I enjoy being with you".
I've never asked for anything in return for love. If I love someone, I want to do something for free and I can. I love the people I'm around now, that's the only thing I can say. I want to be with them because I love them and I want to see them even if I'm busy.
Life
Don't hurt people, either by words or actions.
This is no surprise, but I want to be a person who doesn't hurt people and I want to enjoy my life with the people I care about. It's not so much choosing words to avoid hurting people, but rather actions.
For example, when we are all having fun together, if there is a friend of a friend and I feel that person is isolated and not following the conversation, I will explain the flow of the conversation to them and try to bring them into the circle. It's really a small thing. Then they don't think, "Was it okay for me to be here?" I will keep doing small things like that.
Fashion
Looking at the value I can see now that I'm an adult.
This year, for the first time in my life, I bought a demin jacket! I was never interested in 'wearing out denim' before (T/N: Hard to translate into English but it is about changing demin through wear and wash over years), but suddenly I decided I wanted to try it, and now I'm wearing out a demin jacket (laughs).
It's made by a manufacturer in Okayama, where I used to go on location for a programme I did when I was a junior. At the time, I was still a kid and didn't really understand the quality, but now that I'm an adult, I think it's cool. It's a new challenge, but I also feel it's linked to my past.
I usually buy clothes that are one size larger for ease of movement.
Beauty
Beauty is connected to the spirit. If you prepare your heart, it will appear on the outside.
I started soaking myself in the bathtub every day after I started dress rehearsals for The City of Betrayal. I was always a shower person and couldn't soak in the bathtub for long periods of time. Recently, I try to soak in the bathtub for about 30 minutes after rehearsals. I'm actually surprised at the difference in the way I feel tired. I put in bath salts from an onsen and watch live videos, relaxing slowly and taking away my mental fatigue.
I have dry skin, but I don't use much skin lotion. I don't like the sticky feeling after a bath, so I give up. I'm not particular about my outside, but I know that beauty is related to the spirit, so I use the bath to keep my skin in good shape (laughs).
Inoo Kei

Inoo Kei plays the role of Murata Hikaru on the popular TV drama series 'Kaseifu no Mitazono', which is currently airing. In addition to his work as an actor, Inoo also demonstrates his quick-wittedness on variety shows and other programmes.
Work
Try to do it with undivided devotion, without focusing on too many things.
Work is tough, especially at first, because it's hard to develop and it can often feel unreasonable. I also felt that way for many years.
But we started working when we were teenagers, so we didn't consider other jobs. So I guess I've been doing it with a sort of undivided devotion, without focusing on other things.
There are things you don't understand until you've been doing it for a few years and you don't see results. There are a lot of kids who quit after a year or two, and that's the way it is, but I think it's a waste to quit until you learn or grasp a certain amount of things.
Love
Take it seriously, love someone properly.
If you want to be loved, whether it's a friend, lover or family member, if you don't take that person seriously and love them properly, they probably won't return it. Don't run away from it. But I guess it's hard to tell someone you love them and get hurt... When you think about that, it's okay to run away, isn't it (laughs)?
I'm not very good at conveying love to begin with. That's why I tend to run away (laughs). But I have a friend who is good at expressing affection, such as honestly expressing gratitude to their friends and praising them for their good points. I used to be embarrassed about that kind of thing and I wasn't good at it, but my friend is very charming, so they gather good friends around them.
So, in my thirties, I finally let go of my shyness and pride! I want to be more honest and express my love to people. I try to follow the example of that friend.
Life
Have the courage to throw away what you have collected.
I've recently realised the importance of getting rid of stuff! When I was in my twenties, I did a lot of different things and collected a lot of everything. Those old work materials and items might be very important, but at the same time they are like glories of the past (laughs). I feel that if I'm surrounded by it all the time, I'll think, "So for now, well, I'm okay".
Instead, I'm more interested in being able to freely go anywhere at any time. That's why I'm getting rid of my clothes, and I'm parting with my books! Also, it would be nice to have friends who can draw me into interests I never thought I'd be into, broaden my horizons and inspire me.
So I'm now thinking of getting a medium motorbike licence! If I was on my own, I would never go for it, but now I have a friend who says, "Let's go for it together!"
Fashion
Don't spend much money! (laughs)
And what good comes from that? I save money (laughs). I'm trying to reduce my possessions as much as possible. I've recently got rid of a lot of clothes.
But that doesn't mean I don't buy anything at all, the jeans I'm wearing now were bought rather recently. I like the windbreaker and the thickness. The criteria for buying something is that it "looks easy to wear" (laughs). The criteria for keeping them when decluttering is that they "look like they can still be worn" (laughs).
Anyway, I want to choose something that I can use for a long time, not something that will only last for the moment, and at every turning point. Nowadays, people wear what they want to wear, rather than what is appropriate for the time, place and occasion, so why not wear what you like?
Beauty
To be seen a lot, to be told how pretty and cute you are.
This might be run-of-the-mill, but it's important. Even if you're not on stage, someone will see you when you go out in public, so isn't it good to be aware of that as much as possible?
The other thing is to be praised! In our case, we get praised a lot by our fans every day! It's given us a huge boost to our self-esteem (laughs)! When you want to be beautiful and sparkle, that's a really big thing.
That's why you should all make boyfriends and friends who praise you too (laughs). That way, you can alleviate stress and frustration. As for daily care, I don't do anything like muscle training or beauty treatments. I don't eat as much food as I used to, and I naturally eat less.
Arioka Daiki

Arioka Daiki appeared as Taki Akihisa, a member of the "S-Class Species Suppression Protocol" in the popular film "Shin Ultraman", which was released 13 May, and also gave a good performance in the drama "Invisible", Arioka-san has been developing as an actor.
Please enjoy this interview filled with his rich sensitivity and warm personality.
Work
Enjoy your work without being afraid to fail
For example, when I went on location, I realised that the enjoyable atmosphere on location can be conveyed to the people who watch it. I felt this particularly strongly at our streamed concerts. I wondered how it would go, being in unfamiliar environment with no audience, but I received reactions like, "I'm glad the members seem to be enjoying each other's company!"
I'm gradually getting more and more juniors asking me for advice on work, and although I can't say much that's important at all, I guess I'll try to solve their concerns one at a time. Just like I was saved by my seniors, I say, "I was the same way too".
Love
Be honest about your feelings. Like what you like.
How to raise self-esteem is difficult, isn't it? I wouldn't know, because I myself am not someone who has very high self-esteem, but if I continue to be honest about my feelings, without reading the atmosphere around me too much or paying too much attention, I think that will change little by little.
In that sense, I'm probably more straightforward in expressing my feelings. I think that's the same with women. On the other hand, if they don't express their love to me properly, I somehow get worried (laughs). However, if I have too much respect for the person I'm expressing affection to, I sometimes feel uneasy because the words don't come out properly, and I wonder if I'm being rude.
Life
Keep getting excited!
The time I have to spend with my favourite things - music, movies, TV, cartoons, games - is non-negotiable. If I can relax tomorrow, I'll be excited about what film I'm going to watch or play games as much as I want, that's something that's always~ remained the same. So when I'm busy with work and can't take time off, it's a real struggle (laughs).
My best entertainment these days is the Super Bowl halftime show. It was a performance by all the hip-hop stars, and it was music I used to listen to when I was commuting to school by train, so it brought back a lot of memories and I was very emotional. I'm blessed to have this kind of entertainment job.
Fashion
Wear clothes that make you feel excited about yourself!
I tend to wear street-oriented fashion and I love trainers. I wear hoodies all the time and recently I've only been wearing black sweatpants (laughs)! I think I'm extremely biased here, but I enjoy it.
When I buy something new online and it arrives, I try it on at home right away. And the next day, I wear them. The other day, the day after my sneakers arrived, I had a moment of hesitation because of the bad weather, but I really wanted to wear them, so I did (laughs).
Beauty
Health is the way to go. It is important to take care of yourself from the inside out.
I've become more conscious of what I eat and drink, as well as skincare such as body lotion. I want to stay healthy in my work. I guess that leads to beauty as a result. Of course, there are days when I say, 'No, not today', but I try to eat balanced nutrition and avoid fried food.
I also did some research and found that I'm surprisingly lacking in magnesium, so I take supplements with vitamins. And then there's the sauna! When you sweat a lot without thinking and feel refreshed, even your mind is purified. Being in touch with your kindness is also necessary for the beauty of your heart.
