I want to invite the fans who have realised their favourite world.
I’ve been thinking about this concept since about one year ago. Originally, I’ve always liked the world where vengeful spirits and ghosts (youkai) live, and the bewitching worldview. Being on the side of creating my favourite world, I started to think it would be interesting to invite everyone. At the last Dome performance, I was telling the members about the theme I wanted to do for next time, it was quite quick (laughs).
Regarding the album, “Kemono to Bara” was something I really wanted to do to express the worldview. It’s the lead song and I think it’s interesting there is a punch to it, and it’s fresh for JUMP to make something in an easy to understand concept. I think we haven’t had a song like that since “Boku wa VAMPIRE”, so I hope fans will enjoy it. And this time, we also had the challenge of making two MVs. I had a clear image in my head, but in order to make it happen I had to be concerned with the small details. For example, I consulted with the director of the MVs and met about 3 or 4 times about the costumes. From that, I think you can show a different JUMP from before.
The title “PARADE” was decided on during discussions about the album while also focusing on the live performances. It’s a little wider than the worldview that I had imagined, but to be honest… I also had the thought of going with the “strange” I had envisioned at the beginning. Of course, to avoid narrowing and biasing you can use words that can be widely interpreted and understood. However, I wanted to avoid the things I wanted to say becoming too vague, and I didn’t want my worldview to have nothing. Well, speaking of the tour, I think it’s still fun. The live also has a festival corner, so it’s not a bad thing to have various things. But this time, with this concept, I had a strong desire to keep the fans entertained from beginning to end in this world. However, every member has their opinion considered in the group, and in JUMP we have a rule where the majority vote wins. This time for the title “PARADE”, I switched my thinking and started thinking as much as I could. I don’t mean throw it away (laughs), but I want to show you the best parade while the construction of the performance is happening.
From the start of the Dome tours, this is the first time I’ve made a live show. The arena is the arena, the dome has the advantage of being the dome and has a lot of space, so I wanted to create a production that took advantage of that. Certainly, rather than being entertained by flashy dancing, it will be a live where you will be entertained by the performance and the space. Also, in the “Kemono to Bara” MV, the members played the role of wolves but in the lives I’m thinking of showing the worldview by transforming something, like making a mysterious hall in the room. The owners of the hall are JUMP, the lost young women are the audience and the parties held late in the night in the hall are the lives. Making a participatory live was a commitment to myself, so please come to this live and enjoy this “PARADE” world as if you were at a party!
