I want it to be a space where you can be completely immersed in the unreal world of “PARADE”
The concept of the album and the tour, “PARADE”, derives from a word Yamada raised, “mysterious”. From there, based on the worldview that Yamada imagined, everyone discussed how to apply this theme to the album and this concept to the tour. I personally like the way how we make it break free from one world, but at the same time there are difficulties. There is a possibility we can be overly biased and can try to make what we want, but on the other hand, we can also become too caught and tie ourselves up. So I felt the importance of making a balance so I don’t lose sight of my surroundings.
But the pleasure of actually creating a conceptual worldview is so big, even just thinking of producing the live is making me excited. Even at seniors and other artist’s lives, if the concept is strongly worked out, you will be able to fully immerse yourself and have an unreal experience. I think that’s the true charm of creating a biased worldview with a good meaning, so I want to create a space where you can completely immerse yourself on this JUMP tour.
In order to create one worldview, the creator’s powers are essential. This time, Tsujimura Yuki-san, who composed “Fanfare!” also wrote, “Parade ga Hajimaru” and “Parade wa Owaranai – Life is an Adventure-“, but we went specially to a theme park and expanded our imagery. In that sense, the creators also joined the team and it feels like we have all made an album together. Additionally, I think it was possible because it was work where the feeling of the concept is strong.
And until now, there were many dome performances after arena, but this time it’s only dome performances. From the start, thinking about the lives with the big dome and the specifications is the one challenge for us. Actually, I just reconfirmed the importance of taking on a challenge at our Taiwan performance. Our dance corner, which is the heart of JUMP’s live shows, has been three songs at most until now. But in Taiwan, (Domoto) Koichi-kun, who gave us direction on the production, increased it to four songs in a row, saying, “I want to see a completely exhausted JUMP! Keep dancing!”. I was considerably tired from the rehearsals (lol), but because of that, I could keep up with the tempo of the performance, and I thought, “I can dance more! The limit is still ahead!”. Some members will be 30 years old soon, but I felt that I couldn’t take too much advantage of age.
That’s why on this tour I’m going to take on various challenges and not betray everyone’s expectations… No, I want to do a production that goes beyond imaginations, and I want to make a live that doesn’t lose interest for one second. And while valuing the worldview of “PARADE”, I want to do a lot of songs everyone wants to listen to. It’s not our intention if people come and have thoughts that remain of, “I wanted to hear that song…”. Even though it’s small, we will do our best to run dome so we can meet the expectations of many people’s wishes, so let’s enjoy this time together!
